Just for Fun

Figma Tricks

Just a page to help keep track of some fun figma tips and tricks that help my workflow. Always in a work in progress.

Cmd + Shift + I

A keyboard shortcut that allows you to quickly access plugins. A more useful way to use this feature is to quickly access components from your connected design system libraries.

Select By Color

This one’s a bit more niche. You can select all instances of a color in an art board. I’ve used this to target specific titles, or elements to bulk change their attributes.

Pages Divider

Naming a page three dashes will create a divider that makes it easier to organize your pages.

Cmd + R

You can bulk rename layers. It’s rare to do on the go. If you’re moving into higher fidelity or version control, this becomes essential if you want to target and edit multiple layers.

“Find and Focus” Plugin

One of my favorite plugins. It makes it easy to target a layer by named. Pairing it with the rename shortcut makes targeting and changing layers incredibly efficient.

“Autoflow” Plugin

It’s an easy way to create user flows with arrows that connect from art board to art board. You can also name the arrows, which is helpful for demonstrations

“Iconify” Plugin

The best library to easily access icon sets.
